The four-floor, southern-facing, 19,000 square-foot building sits on the bluff of Allen Street, overlooking the majestic sweep of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Over 100 restored windows flood every space with the crystalline light of the iconic Hudson River School skies.
The restoration work was undertaken with the utmost care and attention to the historic details of the building. The founders want the project to honor both the epic and eclectic history of the City of Hudson itself and ensure that the building will serve as an economic development opportunity for locals, while participating in creative and economic resurgence underway in the broader region.
RHP will serve the growing creative economy in the region by providing much-needed professional workspace for professionals – filmmakers, fabricators, designers, inventors, producers, researchers, writers and architects – offering offices, studios and creative suites. These facilities will allow for an expanded level of creative, professional and experimental activity in Hudson, to serve the growing creative community as well as local residents seeking a way to access and establish themselves within this sector.
The four floors, 5000 square feet each, will have studio and office space, designed and specially wired for editing suites, post production studios (sound and image), as well as common areas including a screening room.
